When there is a bearing defect on the crankpin surface, the crankpin needs to be machined. In some crankpin bearing failures, cracks and over-hardened areas may be found due to excessive heat entry into the journal. Vento engine offers on-site stress relief (heat treatment) process to reduce the hardness to the hardness limits accepted by the manufacturer.
